Don't get misled: Munish cautions people | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 11: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Friday cautioned people against the "wrong notion" about development being created by the former MLAs. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Jawahar Nagar, behind CDA quarter, Munish said, "Some leaders are trying to take credit for the ongoing development works which are taking place in the Jammu city. The fact is that these works are being carried out by the Governor's administration and former MLAs have no role in it." Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency said, "When these leaders were in power they didn't make any effort to develop the areas which they represented. They had no time to listen to the grievances of the people as they were busy reaping the fruits of power." Munish said that after losing power many leaders have reappeared on the scene and are out to hoodwink the people again. "We shouldn't get carried away by the hollow slogans being raised by them," he said. Munish said, "The upcoming elections are a golden opportunity for all of us to show exit door to the leaders who have misled us during all these years. We can't repeat the mistakes which we have committed in the past." |
