Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 11: Government Degree College Bishnah in collaboration with Employment Information cum Advisory Bureau (EIAB), Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL), organized a career counseling programme in Education and History for the students of the college. In her inaugural address, Prof. Archana Bakshi, HOD English on behalf of Principal of the college stressed on the need of organizing such type of programmes for the benefit of the students in their crucial stage. The programme was held under the guidance of Dr. Seema Sudan, Convener Career Counseling Cell of the college and Dr. Kavita Suri, Director, DLL. The special resource persons from University of Jammu were Prof. S.N. Lal, Department of History, Dr. S.K. Panda, Department of Education, and Dr. Rewa Khajuria, Counselor EIAB. Prof. S.N. Lal informed the students about career options and job opportunities in History and allied subjects after Graduation and Post Graduation. Dr. Panda, in his presentation, apprise the students about career options in Education. Dr. Rewa Khajuria explained the importance of career counseling. Other faculty members who were present at the occasion included Dr. Alka Sharma, Dr. Seema Jamwal and other faculty members of GDC Bishnah. The programme was really useful for the students who were able to know the career prospects in these streams. About 85 students of the college while giving feedback appreciated the programme. Dr. Seema Sudan, Convener Career Counseling Cell of the college presented vote of thanks. |
