DPS organizes workshop on 21st century challenges | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Oct 11: Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur today organized a workshop on teaching methods adopted by teachers which stays effective and relevant to the ever-changing needs of the 21st century classroom. The resource person of the day was Principal and master trainer CBSE SK Singh who has rich experience of both National and International Schools. The aim of the workshop was to cover a wide range of areas from Innovative Teaching Methods to classroom management to current affairs that impact our world socially. Training of the teachers was done to connect them to curriculum, to current events, that would not only help the student absorb and learn better but also help them to understand the real world at an early age. Teachers were encouraged to engage students through creative and innovative teaching practices. Thus the training program focused on sensitizing Scholar teachers to the fact that every child has a unique personality and has a variety of emotional needs. The Pro Vice Chairman of the School Dr. J.C Gupta stated that "A workshop is a way of renting an audience, and making sure you're communicating what you think you're communicating. It's so easy as a young writer to think you've been very clear when in fact you haven't." The Principal of the school Dr. Kunal Anand thanked the resource person S.K Singh for an excellent workshop. |
