Srinagar, Oct 11: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested four youth for allegedly enforcing shutdown and intimidating locals in north Kashmir district of Bandipora. A police official said that following specific information, police arrested four youth, identified as Danish Ahmad Sheikh, Abid Hussain, Zahid Mohi ud Din and Aqib Ahmad, all residents of Bandipora. "The initial investigations revealed that they were threatening and intimidating locals in Bandipora and enforcing shutdown of shops and other business activities besides vandalizing and damaging properties in the area," he said. He said a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Bandipora and investigation in the matter is in progress. |
