| SC, ST Communities criticize Govt of step motherly treatment | | |

Jammu, Oct 11: SC, ST communities of J&K in a largely attended press conference expressed their great anguish over step motherly and anti SCSTOBC behavior of present political dispensation. The leaders in a unanimous voice targeted SCSTOBC politicians who are being used by BJP to show green pastures by giving befooling promises to SC/ST & OBCs. They said that all the constitutional rights of SCST are being targeted very cleverly by the political dispensation even during President's Rule in J&K. After abrogation of Article 370 on 5th August 2019, the Governor's administration is almost daily publishing an advertisement in the daily papers claiming that abrogation of Article 370 shall benefit SC/ST/OBCs, Safai Karmacharis/Valmiki communities by way of so many constitutional sops. SCSTOBCs of J&K welcome these steps if they are not hoax call, as majority of such sops turned out to be nothing on ground in last few years as far as benefits to SCSTOBCs are concerned. Sham Lal Bassan, while talking to media person said that bureaucrats in J&K are untamed even in President's Rule and has not only defied Apex Court and J&K High Court's favourable orders for restoration of reservation in promotions but they gave no heed to either President's Order or claims of the Governor and Central Ministers that all constitutional rights for SCSTOBCs have been extended to J&K. |
