JAMMU, Oct 12: Continuing its initiative of highlighting the bravery, valour, courage and martydom of J&K Police Martyrs under "Remember the Martyrs" programme, District Police Reasi today organized a programme at High School Kheral, Talwara to pay tribute to Martyr Sgct Mohd Rafiq who achieved supreme sacrifice while fighting with the terrorists at Nasembagh Chonakhan Sopore on November 12, 2010. The programme was attended by the students, staff, wife and children of the martyr Sgct Mohd Rafiq.
Speaking on the occasion, Rashmi Wazir, SSP Reasi paid rich tributes to the martyr Sgct Mohd Rafiq and highlighted his bravery, valour, courage and martydom. She said that the aim of organizing these functions is to aware the young generation about the bravery of the J&K Police martyrs. She further said that martyrs like Sgct Mohd Rafiq should be role model of the students. A photograph of the Martyr was also displayed in the Office Chamber of Headmaster High School Kheral and a tree was also planted jointly by the Officers and relatives of the Martyr in the premises of High School. |
