| Army reaches out to 500 retired personals, martyr widows | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Oct 12: In order to enhance awareness amongst the services man /veteran and veer naris to address their concern and enable them to take maximum advantages out of various Government scheme, an ex service man rally was organised by the Indian army (26 RR) at helipad ground Kishtwar. During the rally various stalls to address the grievance of ex service man as well as stalls of civil administration such as those of animal husbandry department, horticulture and those of varios natonalised banks were also placed, beside a medical camp was also organised to cater for medical needs of those present in the rally. Widows of those soldiers killed in action during the line of duty were also felicitated by the Cheif Guest Brigadier Vikram Bhan, Commander 9 Sector RR Kishtwar. During the event the rally was big success with presence of approximately 500 exserviceman and their dependents attending the event which shows an active participation and bonhomie between the army and it's retired soldiers. |
