Dhairya Choudhary wins swimming state championship | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 12: Dhairya Choudhary of Jodhamal Public School bagged the state champion tag for the 7th consecutive time in swimming championship for school boys organized by Dept of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) held at Jodhamal school under the supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma- the Dist. Youth services and sports officer (DYSSO) Jammu. He helped Jammu emerge as the overall champion in interstate divisional level swimming comp this time. He was highly appreciated in recent CBSE North Zone clusters held at Montessori Cambridge, Pathankot in September this year where he was the only one from Jammu and Kashmir who managed to make it up to the awardee list. He has been swimming since last 14 yrs without any formal coaching from anywhere. He has bagged 3 golds at interstate competition and also holds the record in 50m freestyle swimming. His medal tally after this competition has summed up to a knee jerking number of 121 medals .He is scheduled to play the 65th SGFI Nationals at Delhi this November. |
