| JMC seals shops in Gandhi Nagar area | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 2: On the instructions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Jammu and under the supervision of Joint Commissioner (Administration), the Enforcement staff sealed three shops being constructed by Prachi Mahajan W/o Abhishek Mahajan at 784-A, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu (one shop) and Ashok Kumar S/o Mulkh Raj at 784-A, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu (Two shops) under section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988 as the said structures were converted from residential to commercial by installing shutters without the permission of Jammu Municipal Corporation and causing nuisance, traffic hazard in the vicinity and much inconvenience to the general public residing in the area who have complained against the same. The Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to the General Public to refrain from making illegal constructions and get building plans whether commercial / residential approved from Jammu Municipal Corporation otherwise action as admissible under rules leading to demolition / sealing of the building will be taken. |
