UDHAMPUR, Nov 2: Under the aegis of Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Justice Gita Mittal and patron in-Chief J&K State Legal services Authority, Justice Rajesh Bindal Executive Chairman J&K State Legal Services Authority, a free legal aid clinic was inaugurated today here at Basantgarh by the District Legal Services Authority Udhampur with a view to strengthen the spread of legal awareness and to make available free legal services to the common mass at their doorsteps.
Free Legal Aid clinic was inaugurated by, M.L Manhas , Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Udhampur in presence of Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur Sandeep Kaur, Sub Judge Ramnagar, Archana Charak who is also the Chairperson of the Tehsil Legal Committee, President Bar Association Ramnagar, SDM, Ramnagar Block Medical Officer Basantgarh, Station House Officer Basantgarh was also attended the inaugural function on the occasion.
A large number of people from far flung areas including Panchs, Sarpanchs, Prominent Citizens and students were specially invited. They DLSA Chairman informed the gathering about the purpose and the objective with which the clinic has been established.
Secretary ,District Legal Services Authority Udhampur , Sandeep Kour, Chairperson Tehsil Legal Services Committee (Sub-Judge) Ramnagar, Archana Charak and the Bar president also spoke on the occasion. It was impressed upon the public to make maximum use of the services rendered at the clinic by the Para Legal Volunteers (PLV's) and retainer lawyer. |
