Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 2: The Joint Action Committee Residents around Airport Jammu (JACRaAJ) termed allotment of land to displaced people from the area a big scandal.
Addressing a press conference, here today the members of the JACRaAJ they are various issues which they are facing due to irresponsible behaviour of the Govt.
"Govt has allotted us dispute land which is big scam if it not, then why govt. is not providing us allotment letter and basic facilities & levelling of land which was promised before in the court and mentioned in court order of 20th September 2019", they said, adding that the 10 marlas of land which was allotted earlier to the 61 families at Belicharana was cancelled without any proper intimation.
"For the resettlement proper time should be given to the families of minimum one year. Fund should be provided within the time period given by the Government (Minimum 1 Year). Rumors are going around that the families has accepted and provided compensation of 33 crore which is totally false and compensation money , is still deposited in court since 2002", they said, adding that during the year 2004 it was decided by AAI to extend airport towards North end is Belicharana and terminal building to be located at Belicharana, hence our land 27 kanals and 2 marlas and 4 sarsai should have been de-notified, being built up area, para 1.4 line 1-3 of National policy of 2007 on the subject refers.
"A high level meeting chaired by the Financial Commissioner/Principal secretary to the Chief Minister J&K, on 12.04.2017 Directed Dy Commissioner Jammu to take action to have land 27 kanals and 2 marlas and 4 sarsai de-notified. Action thereon is still pending in your good office", they said.
They further said that their rehabilitation case is still not resolved from last 17 year. Govt. totally spoiled the future of children because most of populations out of 61 families are teenagers. "Most of them left their studies due to this factor because they are still got harassed and tortured by Govt. recently the defense personals had a march in our society before the judgment of the court", they said, adding that as Indians, we also deserve all the rights and policies of the Government.
"As Govt. lifted Article 370 and 35A Act from J&K and we totally support such action of Govt. we want Govt. to treat us as according to IPC under The Right to Fair Compensation Act 2013. According to this Act we are legally right for rehabilitation and resettlement policy", they said, and added that during the speech in the Parliament House Home Minister Amit Shah has clearly stated that due to Article 370 people of J&K has been deprived of many rights especially Rights related to land & Property be further added that now after abrogating Article 370 people will now have the right get the fair compensation for their land. But now when this act has been abrogated we are still being denied of our rights.
