MPEJ expresses concern over rampant corruption | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 4: Kuldeep Kumar Rao an active member of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice has appealed to the Prime Minister, Narinder Modi, to do what Rajeev Gandhi left undone regarding rampant corruption in rural development department. What Late Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi had said nearly 30 years ago, is still in vogue right from his time till date? He had said that out of the total funds provided for the developmental works in rural area only 15% reaches to the ground level, the remaining 85% goes into private pockets. This 80% if saved and utilized in Education & Health sectors as his done by AAP, Delhi government where this 85% political commission based corruption is saved and utilized in the construction of government School buildings in education sector & in Mohalla clinics in health Sector. Modi's and some of his colleagues' honesty are not sufficient to take the country to real heights of development. Topmost priority will have to be given to check the commission system and other related corrupt practices which are playing havoc with the development efforts of the government. The MP's, MLA's, MLC's and Ministers will have to be made accountable for proper utilization of developmental funds. NGO's must also be made accountable. So a strong Lokpal at the centre & strong Lokayukts at state levels are the dire need of the day and the most important aspect of all this reformative process is reform in electoral process. Only man of high integrity and high capability should be our public representatives i.e MP's & MLA's. |
