Jammu, Nov 4: In a major success towards launching a major crackdown on terrorist and its Over Ground Network, joint teams of 26 RR and Kishtwar Police today smashed a terror hideout in Sangrambat area in the outskirts of Kishtwar town, just 500-600 meters away from the District Police Office hoisting the office of SSP Kishtwar and other senior officials of police and almost equidistance from Headquarter of 26 RR and Army Intelligence Unit and recovered arms and ammunition from the said terror hideout constructed deep inside the wardrobe in house belongs to Ghulam Mustafa Sheikh and arrested his son Asif Mustufa who according to the police is an active OGW of Hizb militant outfit.
This successive success to army and Kishtwar Police in less than 24 hours comes after army and Police smashed a major terror hideout in Mughal Maidan area of the District, some 25 KM from Kishtwar in which beside arms and ammunition, 8 KG explosive was also recovered.
As per the details available with "Early Times" acting on a tip off, the search party of Kishtwar police and 26 RR lead by Dy. SP Sunny Gupta, Dy. SP Operation Davinder Singh and army personals from 26 RR conducted the raid in densely populated area of Sangrambata along with a magistrate (Tehsildar) and found a hideout carved inside the wardrobe that can accommodate few persons and on its search, the security forces found one Pakistan made Pistol, 52 rounds including two empty cartridges, one hand granade, two AK magazine from the said hideout in presence of the magistrate and arrested OGW Asif Mustafa.
According to the officials, Asif late brother alias Raju was also a militant and was eliminated in an encounter with security forces around 10-12 years ago added that his sister had also remained in jail in connection with the terror related activities.
The security forces term the busting of this terror hideout and recovery of the arms and ammunition from it as major success as village Sangrambata lies in close vicinity to Kishtwar town that has witnessed four major terrorist act in less than one year including the killing of Parihar brothers, RSS leader, his PSO and two weapon snatching incidents added that the terrorist could have easily been used this terror hideout to carry out terror related activities in Kishtwar town to grab media attention and said that this will help to avoid major tragedy.
It is pertinent to mention that Kishtwar police has booked over two dozen OGWs and militants associated with Hizb longest surviving militant commander Mohammad Amin Butt alias Jahingir Saroori beside also announced bounty of Rs. 30 lakhs on three militants including Jahingir Saroori, Mudassir Hussain and Raiz Ahmed who will help them to either arrest or eliminate them.
Jahingir Saroori is also wanted by the NIA in connection with September 7, 2011 Delhi High Court Blast in which 18 people lost their lives while more than 50 other got injured.
