JKPSA call on IGP Trafffic | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 27: A deputation of executive members of central body of J&K Private School Association (JKPSA) today called on Alok Kumar, IPS IGP Traffic and apprised him about their problems. According to press release, Kamal Gupta, President of the Association apprised IGP Traffic about the problems being faced by the low budget private schools in obtaining recognition/ Affiliation due to non availability of NOC from Traffic department. He said that all schools in Jammu & Kashmir were set up & established within the frame work of rules & laws set up by the preceding Educational government. Non issuance of NOC to the schools having no school vehicle amounts to harassment. Moreover demanding land 6 to 10 Kanals for the issuance of NOC is worrisome as majority of the schools functioning in Jammu and Kashmir are situated mostly in hilly reaches having no road connectivity or in the densely populated areas. General Secretary of conglomerate Ajay Gupta briefed IGP that till now there was no problem in obtaining NOC traffic. The sudden twist in the mind of the authorities' has shaken educated self supporting big and small education volunteers. Although with the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019 all SRO's & Acts have become infructuous. But till date there is no concrete Educational policy on schools on the one hand and now whimsical demand of 6 to 10 Kanals of land superseding Sub -Section II of Section 2 in Rule 10 of SRO123 where the land required was 3 Kanals for the establishment of a school. |
