Ousted PDP leader camping in Dubai! | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 27: One of the ousted leaders of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), who has long been dreaming of becoming the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, has been camping in Dubai. Sources said the leader has gone there for "some personal and future reasons." Sources said the leader, who is a businessman turned politician, has been camping in Dubai for the past around a fortnight. Sources said he was likely to travel to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah as well in the coming days. The sources said he was seen interacting with "some influential people" from the Indian sub-continent. The Early Times had already reported that the leader in question was looking ahead to travel to the Middle East. The politician is the "frequent flier" to the United Arab Emirates and as per sources "Loves to be in Dubai to interact with people of various nationalities." Interestingly, he is among the very few Kashmiri politicians, who were not arrested after the abrogation of the special status of Jammu & Kashmir on abroad in the last few months. The politician was expelled from the PDP following complaints of his being involved in anti-party activities wherein he allegedly wanted to hatch a coup. Prior to his expulsion, he was aspiring to become the Chief Minister in the government that was likely to be an unusual alliance between arch-rivals National Conference and the People's Democratic Party, after the PDP-BJP alliance had collapsed and Assembly was in suspended animation. In a dramatic turn of development that time, the then Governor SP Malik had dissolved the Assembly trashing all such dreams of government formation. Despite repeated attempts the ousted PDP leader was not available for comments. |
