Jammu, Nov 27: Jammu, Nov 27: Director Horticulture Jammu Raj Kumar Katoch (KAS) visited Mansar Panchyat of Udhampur District under Back to Village (B2V2) programme as a part of Govrnance at the Doorstep w.e.f. 25th to 26th of November 2019. He interacted with the PRI members and the officers/officials of different department about the B2V1 report card, critical gap analysis and obtain feedback on follow up of activities in the Gram Sabha. He inspected various departments like anganwadi centres, schools, PHC, PHE Pumping station and the ongoing projects and also checked the karwai register of the Panchyat. He briefed the PRI members about their role as a ground level government in the implementation of various departmental schemes in a constructive way so he advised them to assign different departments among the them so as to provide essential services to the common masses in a better manner. During the visit, Gram Sabha was organized in which a range of genuine and specific grievances reported by the people were recorded like approval of site plan for construction of rooms, shops, hotels etc. beyond other problems like road, street lights, parking slots, public convenience., etc. The people also resented the issue of ration cards, non supply of nutrition to all the ICDS centres for the last one month. Also it was brought to the notices that iodized salt has not been provided to the Anganwadi workers for the last three years. The visiting Officer also celebrated the constitution day alongwith the Gram Panchayat followed by pledge regarding fundamental duties envisaged in the constitution of India. |
