JAMMU, Nov 27: The students of Humanity Public School Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana brought Laurels to the school by winning three medals in the STATE LEVEL SPEEDBALL FEST - 2019. This Championship was organised by J&K Sports Speedball Association which was recently concluded at Birla Open Minds International School, Chhanni Himmat, Jammu. 21 students of H.P.S participated in it and 3 students won Gold, 5 got Silver and 14 got Bronze medals. Krishna Kumar, Ujjwal Verma and Avinash Gorkha won Gold Medals and they were given new rackets, while Tarun Bakshi, Ranveer Singh, Sonia Rajput, Sayam Singh Charak and Rudransh Jamwal got Silver Medals, whereas Kashish Bakshi, Viveka Bhagat, Ankush, Mohd. Usman, Krishna Charak, Kannav, Mayank, Hitanshu, Ranveer Singh, Mounty Angural, Sandeep Chib, Aarav Chalotra and Shubham Verma got Bronze Medals. The gold medalists were selected for the upcoming National Championship at New Delhi. All the students were received in the school premises by Gaurav Charak (Principal) along with Anku Charak (Vice Principal), Mahan Singh (Sports I/C), and the staff members. On this occasion Principal of the school lauded the efforts of Sahil Janjua (Coach) whose mature guidance and hard work brought laurels to the institution at the State level. He further said that the school management is leaving no stone unturned to promote Physical Education in the school for providing platform to the students to take part in different sports activities at District, State and National Level. |
