JAMMU, Nov 27: Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College, R.S Pura in collaboration with J&K State Aids Control Society organized a Seminar on the theme 'Communities Make The Difference' as part of celebration of "World AIDS Day" under the guidance of Dr. Sunita Sudan, Principal of the college and supervision of Prof. Swati, Convener Red Ribbon Club.
The proceedings were initiated by Dr. Anuradha, member Red Ribbon Club. 10 students of the college participated in the seminar in which they spoke about the cause, transmission and various preventive measures that need to be adopted for controlling this disease. They also stressed upon the role of communities in creating awareness among the general masses about the disease as AIDS patients are greatly discriminated against. The event concluded with formal vote of thanks by Prof. Esha Abrol. |
