AKHNOOR, Nov 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) shall meet Baramulla in the final of 31st J&K Senior Men's Volleyball Championship being organised by the Volleyball Association of J&K under the aegis of J&K Sports Council at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Akhnoor. Earlier in second semifinal played on Wednesday, JKP defeated Poonch by 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-23) in a keenly contested match. "Due to inclement weather final match which is scheduled to be played today has been postponed and will now be played tomorrow," said Chief Executive Officer VAJK, Kuldeep Magotra. "The championship is being was mainly focused on promotion/nourishment of volleyball game besides inculcating the spirit of discipline, dedication and dispensing the evils of drug menace among the youth," added Kuldeep Magotra, who is also Associate Secretary of Volleyball Federation of India. Today's match was officiated by a technical panel comprising Amarjeet Singh, Mulkh Raj Sharma, Manik Nargotra, Amit Sharma, Alyas Khan and Shubham Sharma, all VFI qualified National Referees besides J&K recognized referees Kuldeep Shrama and Prince. |
