Post CAA Violence Unfortunate
Omkar Dattatray12/19/2019 10:07:19 PM
There is no denying the fact that the right of dissent and the right to protest is the cardinal principle of a modern democracy and this cannot be denied to the people including the opposition .But then this right cannot and should not be misused as is happening these days on the much required piece of legislation of CAA .Opposition has the right to protest in a peaceful manner but should not indulge in violence whatever the reason .Thus under the garb of this right and freedom the opposition parties particularly the congress is instigating the people ,students and the Muslims and is spreading misinformation about the CAA and is emotionalizing the fragile and peaceful environment for the vote bank politics and for the sake of opposition only and this is indeed very disturbing. The opposition is giving oxygen to the lawlessness and violence on the pretext of the CAA .The way the students of Jamia Millia university have protested and indulged in violence on a large scale has no place in the civilized society .The students had gone on rampage and had set ablaze buses and two wheelers and resorted to stone pelting on the security men which is not acceptable at all .It is alleged that a top leader of APP Amanutulla has given a fiery speech and had instigated the students for violence. Congress, AAP, leftists and TMC are spreading misinformation and white lies to the Muslims of the country and thus are spreading hatred and inciting the students and Muslims to resort to violence. The fact is that this act is not against any section of the country and is not against the Muslims of India who are dignified and respectable citizens of India and they will not be affected by this act in anyway. The religious freedom of the Muslims will not be affected and some political parties are spreading baseless rumors under a well net plan to malign the BJP government of the centre .It is very unfortunate and sad that the so called secular political parties are hell bent to disturb peaceful environment in the country and are creating a divide in the plural society only for their selfish political ends. In India everybody has the right to differ and protest but then the people and the political parties have no license under the garb of democracy to indulge in violence on CAA and take political mileage on it .It is crystal clear that these parties do not want peace and communal harmony and want to blame central government for all this disturbance. .Earlier the unnecessary protests were confined to West Bangal ,Assam and some northeastern states but now the violence and violent protests have engulfed all India baring few states and this is a cause of concern to all right thinking people and to the central government. The CAB has been passed by the countries parliament and the opposition was defeated in both houses of the parliament and now they have resorted to spreading of misinformation and are inciting the gullible Muslims on false and concocted stories and lies. These parties are spreading falsehood to incite the minorities and are creating mistrust and doubts among the people in general and the Muslims in particular. In a federal set up there should be cordial relations between the centre and the states and this is the sine -quo-non of success in a federation but what is happening in the West Bengal and how the CM Mamta Banerjee is behaving is an open book to see as she is on a war path with the BJP government of the centre and its people friendly policies .The height is this that she has been leading the protests against the CAA and NRC and has said umpteen times that she is not going to allow NRC in her state .She represents the anti-thesis of all that is represented by the BJP government and this is not good for the country .The Modi and Amit Shah duo have made it clear that the culture and the tradition of the people of the northeast will be safeguarded and protected at any cost and thus there should be no doubts and reservations on this account .Some of the northeastern states are protected by the provisions of the article 371 of the constitution and therefore people of these states should have no to fear and doubt in this regard .Thus the indigenous people of these states are given cultural protection as their traditions, conventions and culture are protected under the provisions of the constitution. In some states of northeast there is the protection of the ILP i.e inner layer permit and there is thus no scope for any assault on the culture of the north east. But the Congress and some other opposition parties are fuelling unrest and violence in the name of CAA while the fact is that CAA does not mention the word Muslim even once and the opposition parties are making a mountain out of the mole hill and the people of the country in general and the minority in particular should not allow themselves to be deceived by the cunning and selfish political parties and their leaders..Anyway the lawlessness and violence by the students of various universities and some Muslim leaders has no place in our democracy and the government should sternly deal with the people indulging in lawlessness and violence .The prime minister is pained at the violence in the name of CAA in various parts of the country .It is very bad that from Jammia Millia the violence has spread to Seelampur, Jaffarabad and Brijpuri in Delhi and some school buses were damaged and two wheelers were set ablaze by the protesting mobs. The protesting crowds have pelted stones on the policemen and a number of policemen have been injured .It is the congress and APP who are fueling violence and it seems that Tukda Tukda Gang is also involved in the increasing acts of violence and there is urgent need to deal the violators with a heavy hand and restore peace in Delhi and other places in the country at the earliest .NO one should be allowed to take law in to its hands and law and order should be maintained at all costs.
