Secy RDD reviews Mission Antyodaya, PPC, 14th FC | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 23: Secretary Rural Department & Panchayati Raj, Sheetal Nanda, today convened a review meeting regarding progress on implementation of Mission Antyodaya (MA), People's Plan Campaign (PPC) and 14th FC Award besides taking stock of issues related to Panchayati Raj Institutions in Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Reasi districts of Jammu Division. Commissioner Secretary exhorted upon the concerned officers to gear up the pace of work on all ongoing schemes for timely completion. She directed them to verify the data related to all the schemes before uploading the same on Portal of the department. While expressing concern over slow registration of facilitators and frontline workers in most of the districts, she asked the district officers who are lagging behind to expedite the process of registration and upload the same on the Gram Panchayat Development Portal (GPDP). Meanwhile, threadbare discussion was held regarding holding of Gram Sabhas, uploading of facilitators report, preparation of GPDP Plan, and related issues. She directed the officers to ensure the presence of all front line workers and facilitators from the line departments in all Gram Sabha (GS) meetings besides ensuring that every resolution is recorded so that there remains no discrepancy between online and paperwork resolution. Sheetal Nanda had a detailed review of Mission Antyodaya Survey 2019 including status of filling of MA format as per indicators of questionnaire and uploading thereof on Portal. Reviewing People's Plan Campaign, she deliberated upon several issues like scheduling of Gram Sabhas on GPDP Portal for preparation of GPDP Plan, status of Gram Sabhas held so far, installation of PIBs and uploading of photos on Portal etc. Commissioner Secretary, while emphasizing good infrastructure and requisite facilities as key ingredients towards efficient working and optimum outcome, asked the concerned officers to ensure renovation of old dilapidated Panchayat Ghars and equip these vital local democratic units with enhanced basic facilities on pilot basis. She further asked them that the new Panchayat Ghars should be accessible to the people of the area. She also reviewed the progress under PMAY and asked the concerned officers to complete construction of houses as per the allotted targets following the timeline achieving cent percent completion. The meeting was attended by Director Rural Development Department, Sudershan Kumar; Director Panchayati Raj J&K, Mohammad Rafi; besides District Officers, BDOs and senior officials of the concerned department. |
