Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 24: Delhi Public School, Jammu undertook 'A Joy of Sharing' initiative for providing winter clothing to the orphans and persons in need to help them to sustain harsh winter season. The beneficiaries of the programme were the school support staff, Safai Karamchari's, elderly and the needy children of nearby slum areas. Part of the donation was also shared with the members of DLSA, Jammu for further distribution by them in the far flung remote village areas of Jammu region. Students of classes V & VI who were engaged in this benevolent process of collection and distribution found the experience very enriching. It helped them develop a sense of empathy and gratitude for the abundance in life. Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra applauded the philanthropic effort of children and said that sharing and caring are essential to make the world a more equitable place. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta stressed on the importance of giving, as one is more blessed in giving than receiving and it brings us greater happiness. |
