Door to Door campaign launched under PMMVY | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 24: Door to Door Campaign under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojna was today launched by CDPO ICDS Project Migrant Jammu. To provide the awareness and to generate the maximum outreach in the area the CDPO along with the field functionaries of ICDS today organised door to campaign in an innovative way. The field functionaries did Drum beating in the area and all said that the mission of the project is to register all the left over beneficiaries. While speaking on the occasion Anjum Ganai CDPO Migrant said that the objective of the scheme is to promote Child birth ratio in the hospitals to save the life of Mother and Child. Under PMMVY scheme the Government will be providing financial assistance of Rs 5000/- which will be paid in three installments to a registered pregnant woman said Ganai. While highlighting the scheme CDPO said that Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), is a maternity benefit programme run by the Government. It is a Conditional cash transfer scheme for pregnant and lactating women of 19 years of age or above for the first live birth. It provides a partial wage compensation to women for wage-loss during Child birth and child care and to provide conditions for safe delivery and good nutrition and Feeding practices said Ganai and said that Nutrition to every mother and child living our area can help in reducing the ill effects of Malnutrition on their lives. |
