Drive against traffic rules violators conducted in Akhnoor | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 4: A special drive against Traffic Rules violators was conducted today town by a special team of Akhnoor Police and Traffic Police. The was conducted in Akhnoor market by SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma, DSP Traffic Dheraj Katoch, SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pardeep Sharma, DTI Akhnoor Inspector Upinder Singh and other officials. During the drive large number of two wheelers and four wheelers were seized by the team for violating traffic rules and 36 vehicles were Challaned on spot a total fine of Rs 47800 imposed by the Traffic Police, while 25 court Challans were done by the team. Team headed by SDPO Akhnoor delivered a lecture on Traffic Rules. The bank and ATM staff was told by SDPO Akhnoor to put no parking signs in front of their establishments as there has been huge traffic choking in front of banks and ATM units in the town. Such type of surprise anti wrong parking drives shall continue in future, its requested to all respected media members of this group to spread the message to General public and shop keepers not to allow wrong parking and keep the market space open for traffic and pedestrians. |
