Medical Assistant among 10 Hizb OGWs booked by Kishtwar Police
Bashir Ahmed and Wali Mohammad has been arrested so far by the police while the hunt has been launched to arrest the remaining OGWs.

Jammu Jan 4 : Launching a major creak down on Hizb terror network in Dachhan area of Kishtwar District, Kishtwar Police today booked 10 persons who are working as Over Ground Workers (OGWs) for Hizb longest surviving militant Mohammad Amin Butt alias Jahingir Saroori and arrested the two persons.
As per the details available with Early Times, Kishtwar Police register an FIR against the 10 persons under various sections of Unlawful Activities Act beside for harbouring the terrorist for providing financial support, transportation and supply of arms and ammunition and other logistic support that help the militants to carry out the terror related activities in the District.
The FIR contain the names of Bashir Ahmad Mengnoo Resident of Khraipakhnoo, Wali Mohammad Sheikh Resident of Swarbati, Mohammad Hussain Resident of Gujjar Khothan, Saddam Hussain Wani Resident of Suied, Ghulam Nabi Chopan Resident of Trungai, Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh Resident of Swarbati, Yasir Hussain Dar Resident of Swarbati, Khazir Mohammad Sheikh Resident of Swarbati, Bashir Ahmed Sheikh Resident of Swarbati and Zahoor Ahmed Butt Resident of Loharna in Dachhan area of Kishtwar District.
Among the 10 OGWs named in the FIR, Bashir Ahmed and Wali Mohammad has been arrested so far by the police while the hunt has been launched to arrest the remaining OGWs.
The official sources told the Early Times that among the 10 OGWs named in the FIR, 2 OGWS Saddam Hussain Wani is Immam at Jamia Masjid Suied, Bashir Ahmed is Immam at Jamia Masjid Swarbati while Zahoor Ahmed is a Medical Assistant who was involved in providing the treatment to the militants added that it is Zahoor who arrange and manage the treatment of militant Raiz alias Hajaji who had received injury to his leg after he had a fall.
The sources said that all the 10 OGWs are directly in contact with Jahingir Saroori, Raiz Ahmed and Muddasir, three active militants carrying the reward of 30 lakhs from Kishtwar Police.
Police said that Jahingir is most wanted militant in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The development comes in wake of the aftermath of launching of major creak down on OGW network and militants in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas in which over two dozen people has been booked and arrested for their involvement in killing of RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma, Parihar brothers beside providing financial and logistic support to Jahingir and other militants while they carried terror related activities.
After achieving major success in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas, Kishtwar police has shifted its focus on Dachhan and Marwah areas where Hizb militant outfit has established vast network.
The police sources told the Early Times that more arrests are likely in terror related cases added that all those involved in providing logistic, financial and other support to militants will see themselves behind the bars.
When contacted SSP Kishtwar Dr. Harmeet Singh Mehta confirm the registration of FIR against 10 Hizb OGWs beside also confirm the arrest of two OGWs by the police— However he did not provide any further detail with regard to the case added that the investigation has been set into motion after the arrest of two persons so far related to this case.
Three case viz Parihar brother killing, RSS leader killing and weapon snatching incident has been handed over to NIA.
