SMVDU Students qualify UGC-NET Dec 2019 | | | Early Times Report
Katra, Jan 4: The students of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University have qualified UGC-NET exam in English December 2019. The qualified students were Sakshi Singh, Research Scholar; and the passed out MA in English students, Anjali Manhas; Tushar Sharma; Tanu Gupta; Simran Kaur; and Nasreen Iqbal. Dr. Amitabh V. Dwivedi, Head, School of Languages and Literature congratulated all the successful candidates, and informed that Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is recognized by the quality of education imparted and eventually the achievements of its students. Likewise, bringing laurels to the respective university by reaching zenith installs in students as well as in the institution a sense of pride. Further, Dr. Dwivedi stated that the syllabus of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is designed in such a way that it helps students to appear for and qualify competitive exams like NET, SLET, GATE and alike. By qualifying such prestigious and competitive exams, the alumni as well as students of SMVDU have proved to be a real asset to the institute. Apart from the course of study, the students here are registered for NPTEL courses every semester to acquire knowledge from esteemed professors of IITs. Moreover, the faculty members and the research students also attend GIAN courses regularly. Department of School of Languages and Literature conducts research and learning activities through its Research Club & NET Club, and also organises Comprehensive Examination to tap the progress of each student. |
