Jammu, Jan 4: Jammu & Kashmir Centre for creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu is organizing a will conduct National Artists' Workshop w.e.f. 30th January to 1st February, 2010 at J&K Tourism Complex, Mansar in Samba District of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Fifteen artists of the country will participate in the workshop. The well known artists of India, who would participate in the workshop include K S Gill and Dharminder Sharma, Amritsar and Gaytri, Hoshiarpur, Deepika, Pathankot (Punjab), Dr. A K Dixit and Arti Chouhan, New Delhi, Pratima Singh, Lucknow and Dr. Disha Dinesh, Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), Dr. Mamta Singh, Dehradun (Uttra Khand), Tariq Saifi, Surankote, Sunita Gandhi, Kamal Nain Bhan, Deepa Soni, O P Sharma and Jang S. Verman, Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir). According to Sh. O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA, the artists would paint one painting each in the workshop. The purpose of the workshop would be to make an interaction between artists hailing from different parts of the country and providing opportunity to work for future programmes. The art works created during the workshop would display the works of the artists reflecting composite styles, techniques and trends taking place in various parts of the country. The workshop would prove to project art as a symbol of unity in diversity through art & culture. |
