Deputations of JKESTEWS, allied Association meet Advisor; highlight issues | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 4: All JK Excise State Taxes Employees Welfare Society (JKESTEWS) and allied Association lead by it's President Rtd. DC Excise Vijay Sharma met the Advisor to Lt. Governor Farooq Khan and apprised him of various problems being faced by the Employees/State pensioners in the UT of JK. As per press statement, he told that most of the orders have been issued by Government in the interest of Employees that is covering accidental Insurance and others but most of the benefits which are met to Employees of UT/Central Govt. were still lacking and needs Government’s consideration. Allied Association representative Rtd SE Rup Krishan Matto highlighted Medical Insurance Scheme was taken up by the then Governor Sat Pal Malik for six lacs covering the state Govt Employees/Pensioners of the state requiring to deposit the First installment of the premium of Rs.5000/- and which was deposited as well by all the Employees/Pensioners but was shelved for reasons best known to the then Govt. Association demanded revival of the same Medical cards be also issued at par with central Government so that Medical care could be taken care of Chief Advisor of Society Gold Medalist Rtd. DC Excise BS.Mastana stressed for Medical Allowance of Rs.1000/-instead of Rs.300 which is a crude Joke during these times of dearness. Advisor gave patient hearing to the members of deputations and issued on spot instructions of some of demands within the purview of his domain. He further assured that he had been himself an employee of state of J&K is well versed with the Employees' problems and would do his best to resolve at any level.
