| Inter Panchayat/Block Level Cricket Tournament begins | | | Early times Report
Jammu, Jan 6: The cricket tournament got underway today at Parade Ground Jammu. The inaugural match was played between Baba Sehaj Nath Club and Simula Club. Toss was won by Sehaj Nath Club and elected to bat first. The betting team made 90 runs in more than seventeen over and winning team (Simula Club) thrashes the rival team in 11 over and made 91 runs. The main scorer of the wining team side was Manjit Singh who made 55 runs of 34 balls by hitting 7 boundaries and a six.
Earlier, football competition being organised by Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K Jammu in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council where all block teams of District Jammu are participating in this mega tournament.
The competitions is organised under the patronage of Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, Worthy Director General, Youth Services & Sports J&K, Jammu. |
