Jammu, Jan 26 : The Central Government Pensioners’ Welfare Association (CGPWA) celebrated 71th Republic Day with national fervor and gaiety. A well-attended function was held at the lawns of the Day Care Centre, Exhibition Ground here 26th January where the Tricolour was unfurled jointly by Kuldeep Khoda, former CVC & DGP, Dr. Ashok Bhan, former DGP and the President of the CGPWA, S. S. Wazir. A large number of the participating members of the Association sung the National Anthem at the hoisting the Flag. The members took oath to preserve the constitutional values and work for amity and communal harmony. Later, the Association hosted Tea Party. Those who attended the function included Madan Lal, former ADGP, P. P. Sharma, former Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, C. L. Banal & K B Jandial former members of the Public Service Commission, Feroz Ahmad, former Director Census, V. K. Sambyal former Director AIR, B. K. Raina, Vice President & J. K. Vaid General Secretary of the Association, Prem Gupta, M A Anjum, Yoginder Koul, Nisar Ahmad, all former IGP, J.L. Sharma former DIG, V. H.N Raina, Kampassi,, B B Magotra and P. P Sharma.
