SAMBA, Jan 31: Signature campaign and plantation drive was carried out to mark the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign week in district samba by District Administration under overall supervision of Chairman BBBP, District Development Commissioner Rohit Khajuria.
The activities to promote gender equality and girl child rights to live and educate, department of Social welfare organised a signature campaign at Mount Zee Litera in which several girl child, teachers and other staff took active part.
Later, the plantation drive was also carried out at Govt. Girls Middle School, Jakh in which saplings were planted by girl students in the premises of school.
Speaking on the occasion DSWO Deep Kumar said that through various activities a mass awareness is intended to be generated in the district against malpractices carried onwards girl child and also to intensify awareness regarding govt. sponsored schemes for empowerment of girl child.
