KATRA, Feb 1: Senior Citizens Forum Katra organized a function to honour Padam Shri Awardee Prof Shiv Nirmohi.
On the occasion, Forum also felicitated President Senior Citizens Club Udhampur, Mahadeep Singh Jamwal. Speaking on the occasion, President of Senior Citizen Forum Katra, Shiv Kumar highlighted the contribution of Shiv Nirmohi, son of soil hailing from village Painthal and now settled in Udhampur, in the field of literature, culture and art of Duggar. A detailed literature and culture of Dogras compiled by Nirmohi in more than 35 books stand honored by the Government of India by conferring Padam Shri award. Prof Nirmohi has brought proud and honour for one and all. Prof Nirmohi speaking on the occasion gave a detail of his literary journey and lauded the role of number of persons who helped in compiling the historical facts about Dogra culture. He thanked the forum for his facilitation. |
