AMEAK demands for appointment of nodal officer for PM package | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 11: All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) has sought an appointment of nodal officer for PM package and non PM package migrant employees working in valley so that various issues confronted with these employees could get resolved in a time bound period. The organisation also highlighted some vital issues and demanded their immediate redressal. Addressing a press conference, AMEAK president Rubon Saproo appealed Lt Governor GC Murmu and central government for an appointment of gazetted cadre nodal officer not less than the rank of KAS for migrant employees posted in valley so that employees could bring their grievances into the notice of officer and get them redressed without any lapse of time. He said that migrant employees have to move from pillar to post for seeking redress to their issues, adding that the appointment of the officer would provide a major relief to more than 4000 employees and to some extent end their anxiety. He also demanded that the government should adopt policy of flexibility in matters of transfers related to package and non package migrant employees after the state was granted a status of UT. “We believe that the conditional bond attached to job package has lost its validity in the backdrop of formation of union territory of the state and thus it is now our legitimate right and also genuine demand to ask for transfers to anywhere in the UT,” he said. Those present on the occasion were Rakesh Pandita, Sunil Pandita, Ashwani Bamu, Abhinav Handoo, Ashwani Bhat, Sunil Koul, Sameer Bhat, Vimal Pandita, Sanjay Bhat, Rakesh Koul and others. |
