NIA question ex Congress legislator G M Saroori | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 11: Senior Congress leader and former minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori who was summoned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with the killing of BJP leader Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar today appeared before the NIA at its Jammu office. As per the details available with Early Times, Saroori after arriving at Jammu reached the NIA office at Trikuta Nagar well before 11 AM and offered himself for the open probe. The questioning of Congress leader was delayed as the Investigation Officer was busy in some other task before he (Saroori) was asked to clear his stand on certain queries. Saroori according to sources clarified before the NIA that he had no relationship with Hizb commander Jehangir Saroori adding that the actual name of militant is Mohammad Amin Butt. He also informed the NIA officials that his home at Kishtwar is guarded round the clock by either JKP, JKAP and presently by CRPF since 1998 and rebuffed any claim that any militant has enter inside his home. The NIA shows him the graphs of the area and the reports of dropping of Hizb commander by an auto driver Nissar Ahmed of Bunastan Kishtwar (under arrest) to which Saroori according to the sources told the Investigating Agency that the by-lane was way ahead of his residence. |
