KATHUA, Feb 11: District Development Commissioner, O P Bhagat, today chaired a meeting and reviewed the progress of Rural Development Department under various schemes including MGNREGA, PMAY-G, BADP, Back to Village, 14th FC and District sector schemes.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion held over various issues like sanctions made under PMAY (G), MGNREGA, FTO Generation, PD generation, Geo tagging, Completion of unfinished projects, convergence of MGNREGA with other schemes and sectors.
The DDC urged upon all concerned officers to achieve the given out targets of all sectors before the end of current financial year. DDC urged upon the BDOs/Panchayat Secretaries to demonstrate their desire and commitment in implementing all the schemes/flagship programmes envisaged under the sanctioned plan in letter and spirit.
The DDC also expressed his concern over unsatisfactory performance observed under some key sectors of RDD. He asked all BDOs shall routinely visit their concerned areas, sit in their respective offices, in addition they will also coordinate with line departments for ensuring the overall development of the block/panchayats in order to make their presence felt at the grass root level. |
