JAMMU, Feb 11: State Legal Services Authority in collaboration with J&K Health Department organized medical camp at District Jail Jammu. The medical camp was inaugurated by Member Secretary J&K District Legal Service Authority Mohinder Kumar Sharma.
The guest consultants including Dermatologist Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Psychiatrist Dr. Abhishek Chander, ENT Specialist Dr. Neeru, Medicine/Physician Dr. Abdul Hamid, Gynaecologist Dr. Anju, Medical Officer, GMC Jammu Dr. Sunita Sharma, Dental Surgeon Dr. Mridula Gupta were also present on the occasion.
The Member Secretary, in his address, appreciated both the visiting medical professionals and the Prison Administration to respect the human rights of the inmates in all probabilities.
The aim of the camp was to screen the inmates for ailments and sensitize them about precaution and measures to be taken for their health and hygiene.
The Secretary DLSA Naushad Ahmad Khan along with Nodal Officer Sunila Kumari and Mirza Saleem Beig, Superintendent Jail coordinated to make the camp successful and result oriented.
More than 500 inmates were examined by the specialists. DLSA also distributed medicines to the inmates. |
