Secy AP&HD reviews progress of KCC in JKUT

JAMMU, Feb 11: In view of Governments decision of covering all farmers under KCC by 31st March, 2020, Secretary Agriculture Production Department, Manzoor Ahmad Lone today chaired a meeting to review the progress registered under Kisan Credit Cards Scheme (KCCS) at Krishi Bhawan, Jammu.
Director Agriculture, Jammu, Inder Jeet, Director Horticulture, Jammu, Ram Sevak, Vice-President, UTLBC, Faiyaz Ahmad Bhat, DGM, NABARD, Surinder Singh, Joint Directors of Agriculture, Agriculture Economist, Deputy Director (Central), Jammu, Chief Agriculture Officers/Chief Horticulture Officers of Jammu Division, Regional Heads PNB, SBI, JKB, EDB, JK Grameen Bank and other senior officers of the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments attended the meeting. Kashmir based officers of both departments and banks attended the meeting through video conferencing. Speaking on the occasion Secretary Agriculture Production Department stressed for saturation of all PM-Kisan beneficiaries with coverage under KCC and activation of all inactive KCC accounts within 15 days period. He impressed upon the officers to work with a mission mode to achieve 100 percent coverage under the scheme with in stipulated time frame. The farmers engaged in horticulture, poultry, fishery and other allied sectors should also be included in KCC Scheme as per guidelines, he said. Secretary called for fixation of targets for the banks for full coverage of PM-Kisan beneficiaries under KCC as per MoA & FW circular instructions dated 6th Feb 2020.
