JAMMU, Feb 11: Women Development Cell of GDC R. S. Pura in collaboration with Centre for Women Studies (CWS), University of Jammu organized ‘Nukkad Natak’: HAMARI BETIYAAN under the guidance of Principal, Dr. Sunita Sudan and supervision of Dr. Vishav Raksha, Director CWS.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Priyanka Katoch, Assistant Professor, University of Jammu. In the Nukkad Natak, the emphasis was laid on the importance of Gender Sensitization, stop on female feticide and the problems created by preferences given to male children in our society. About 200 college students witnessed the Nukkad Natak. Dr. Saranjeet Kour, Assistant Professor, University of Jammu and teaching as well as non-teaching faculty were also present during the programme. |
