ECPFWA demands grant of OROP, separate armed forces services, pension rules | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 28: Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association (ECPFWA) has demanded One-Rank-One Pension (OROP) similar to Defence Forces and separate Armed Forces services as well as pension rules. Addressing a press conference here today, Darshan Kumar Chauhan General Secretary of the Association demanded to grant benefits and concessions to Central Paramilitary Forces at par with Defence Force adding that the central paramilitary forces too face the enemy and sacrifice with the same vigour, valour and patriotism and suffer consequences like Defence Forces but the benefits and concessions are not being extended to Armed Forces working under Ministry of Home Affairs which is against the law and the ethics of natural justice. He demanded that pension scheme should be implemented to the Paramilitary personnel who have been appointed after 2004 on the same lines which has been adopted for the Armed Forces of Ministry of Defence. He sought framing of separate armed Force Services and pension rules instead of CCS Rules and exempt from New pension scheme (NPS) being Armed Forces, One-Rank-One Pension (OROP) similar to Defence Forces, CSD Canteen facilities instead of Central Police Canteen (CPC) at State/District Level, extending proper Medical treatment facilities at District Level besides raising other demands. |
