EARLY TIMES REPORT

RAJOURI, Feb 28: A vast portion of state land belonging to PHE department Rajouri has been encroached by some miscreants having vested interests. However, some officials of Revenue Department are not willing to take any action against the land grabbers despite repeated requests being made from time to time by higher officials of the PHE Department.
When contacted, Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri, Mushtaq Hussain expressed his concern regarding encroachments. Mushtaq claimed that during his earlier tenure in the year 2003 he tried his level best to save the departmental land from encroachers as he got wiring of the boundary of the area under the jurisdiction of his department.
Mushtaq further said that after his appointment as Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri in 2019 he found a major portion of the area got encroached. He said that despite repeated requests to provide Revenue details of the land, the concerned Patwari has failed to do so. “Patwari is not cooperating to provide the sufficient details from the Revenue department,” said Mushtaq.
The locals have also expressed grave concern over land encroachment and appealed to LG GC Murmu to personally intervene and unearth the irregularities committed.
