Jammu, Feb 28: Continuing its drive against drugs, under operation Sanjeevani Jammu Police, arrested two Inter-state narco smugglers and recovered poppy straw. A police party of Police Station Nagrota led by SHO, Inspector Mohd Shokat while on naka duty at Ban, Toll Plaza, stopped one load carrier (Tralla) bearing registration No. PB12Y-2210 for checking. During search, 55 Kgs. of poppy straw-like substance was recovered. The driver and side seated person were identified as Kulwant Singh resident of Hayatpur Tehsil Anandpur Sahib District Roop Nagar, Punjab and Pappu Rai resident of Saousaraian Tehsil Pogiparsa Distt. Saran, Bihar. In this connection, case FIR No 104/2020 U/S 8/15/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation taken-up.
