| SCCU visited DH Udhampur | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Feb 28: A team of Senior Citizens Club Udhampur comprising of Gen Secretary Raj Guru, Kuldeep Gupta ex-under secretary and SP Singh headed by Club President Mahadeep Singh Jamwal visited district Hospital to access the facilities supposed to be provided to senior citizens mandated by "The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007". An interaction was held with Superintendent Hospital by the visiting team. Interacting with the media, President of the Club apprised that provision of providing beds to senior citizens exist in the hospital. The hospital superintendent requested to ear mark the separate queues for senior citizens and the facilities mandated by the Act of Parliament and other facilities for senior citizens are displaced at a conspicuous place for awareness of the visiting senior citizenry. The facilities must trickle down to the deserving fraternity and should not remain confined to the display only. The Club members extended all co-operations to the Hospital authorities in making the Hospital as one of the best hospital in the state. |
