Health Deptt organises training for ASHA workers

RAMBAN, Feb 28: As part of an ongoing campaign under the National Health Mission all the Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) of Ramban district are being imparted a 5 day training in Home Based Care For Young Child for reducing the mortality rate of the new born infants.
Every ASHA is supposed to take care of every child born in her jurisdiction for first fortnight since child's birth like providing child all necessary vaccines etc.
In one such session, the training session of a batch of 30 ASHAs of Batote Block concluded in Ramban under the supervision of BMO, Batote, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Sumbria.
In all 120 ASHAs of Batote Block were trained by 4 Trainers in different sessions. And each ASHA was given an incentive of Rs.900 besides lunch and refreshment.
