RAJOURI, Feb 28: JKCA Appointed Electoral Officer Advocate Mir Parwaz Ali, in presence of JKCA Observer Shafiq Hamanyun Parry, announced the results of District Cricket Association Elections results, here on 24th February, 2020.
Upon contact the Electoral officer, about the process of Elections, Mir Parwaz told media persons that JKCA, issued notification in different papers, under, Notification Ref N0: JKCA/CEO/20/2827-28, dated 11.02.2020, where candidates could file their nomination papers, along with requisite DDs, till 2 PM, on 19th of February, last date for withdrawal of papers was 21st feb scrutiny of papers of nominations was 22nd feb and 24th Feb, was date of elections.
According to him he received only five nomination papers, for five different posts to elected by JKCA, and in presence of JKCA observer, discharged his duties on election day, in presence of candidates and voters, under watch of police officials provided by district administration Rajouri declared the results and issued the certificates to the candidates who applied with their nomination papers unanimously to the winning persons, as no other nomination papers were filed by any person. As per the results Mr Qaiser Haroon Mirza, ex Ranji Trophy player was elected as President of association. The other body members are Bilal Khan(Vice President) Tahir Mehmood( Secretary), Rajesh Sharma (Joint Secrtetary) and Anwar ul Haq as Treasurer.
Mirza told media persons that he and his team with the advice of Senior cricketers, shall work for every Tehsil and Block of Rajouri, for the upliftment of game. He told that he has high hopes with the present regime of Sh. SAH Bukhari, who has already written to the District Magistrate for providing of suitable land for building exclusive cricket ground at Rajouri. |
