Lok Adalat organised at District Court Complex Samba

SAMBA, FEB 29: On the directions of National Legal Services Authority and in compliance to directions of the State Legal Services Authority, a Lok Adalat was organized today at District Court Complex, Samba here under the Chairmanship of Sh .M.A. Chowdhary, Chairman DLSA (Pr. District & Sessions Judge), Samba.
Two benches were constituted during the Lok Adalat. A special Bench was constituted for taking up MACT & Bank Cases, Pre-Litigation matters and all cases refereed by District Judge which was headed by Sh. M.A. Chowdhary and assisted by Ms. Swati Gupta, Secretary, DLSA, Samba. Second bench was constituted of Sh. Ajay Gupta (CJM), Samba and assisted by Ms. Jyoti Bhagat (Addl. Munsiff), Samba for taking up of Cr. Compoundable cases of all nature, NI Act & Petty Offences, Matrimonial Cases & All other Civil Suits.
The representative of Banks, Insurance Companies, Advocates and Litigants participated in the Lok Adalat. A total No. of 79 Cases were taken up by the Bench out of which 29 cases were disposed of amicably and an amount of Rs. 8,86,500/- was settled.
