PWWA organises healthy baby show, painting competition

JAMMU, Feb 29: As a part of 32nd Police Public Mela a Healthy Baby Competition and painting competition was organized by J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) at SDRF 2nd Bn. Gulshan Ground, here today.
Archana Choudhary, Shabnam Mir, Shweta Alok Kumar, Jayashree Tuti and other PWWA members were present on this occasion. Nisha Nathyal Commandant UTDRF 2nd Bn. organized the event.
Twenty-nine babies accompanied by their parents participated in two categories (0 to 03 years) and (03 to 06 years) respectively in Healthy Baby Show competition. A team of doctors from Police Hospital, Dr. Shabir Gutt, Dr. Sadaf Maheen and paramedic staff conducted examination of health parameters of the participating babies. This competition was held for the babies of Police Pariwar from the rank of SPO.
In the painting competition 160 students from Police Public School, Miran Sahab, Jammu, SOS Herman Gmeiner School, KNIT Green Model Academy R.S. Pura, DPS Jammu, Model Public School R.S. Pura, K.V-1st Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and other schools participated in the junior and senior categories of painting competition. The theme for the junior category was (a) Land scape on greenery (b) Traffic Rules and for the senior category were (a) Swach Bharat (b) Save Water.
In the Healthy baby competition junior group (0 to 03 years) Chehak Dogra, Manat Khan and Aryan Sharma bagged first, second and third prize respectively. In the senior group (03 to 06 years) Manasvini Kotwal, Elise Rajput and Malbik Khajuria were adjudged first, second and third respectively.
Similarly, in the painting competition junior group (6 to 12 years) Ashita, Hargun Kour and Apeaksha bagged first, second and third position respectively. In the senior group (12 and above years) Rupinder Singh, Avni Choudhary and Sania Choudhary were adjudged first, second and third respectively. Consolation prizes in all categories were decided. The prizes will be distributed in the Police Public mela being held on March 15, 2020 (Sunday).
