JAMMU, Feb 29: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with a reputed institution Essence organized a program "Career Hacks" for the students of 6th and 8th semester.
The main aim of the program was to make students aware about the process of on campus and off campus placement drives. The program commenced with the speech of Vivek Chib, who is the founder of the institute. The program had two rounds and in the first round the students of 6th semester were made aware about the placement process and the techniques to meet the requirements of such processes which include Group discussion, Personal interviews and Aptitude test.
Er. Rajat Slathia from Essence was the first speaker who elaborated the students about the techniques to be used while participating in any placement drives. He motivated the students to work harder andenhance their skills.
The second round was held for the students of 8th semester in which Er. Gagandeep Singh laid stress on the difficulties faced by the students to accomplish and crack competitive exams which need immense motivation from within. He encouraged the students to learnwith interest and gain knowledge from all kinds of sources. He explained the exam pattern of ISE, GATE and many other such exams. He stressed upon the importance of a structured study, practice testing, note making and others and remains updated with the current affairs.
