NGO celebrates 42nd Foundation Day

KATHUA, Feb 29: Village Social Welfare and Development Committee, a NGO of J&K, celebrated its 42nd Foundation Day at its headquarter Village Kishanpur (Dungara), Tehsil Billawar, District Kathua.
On this occasion appreciation awards were conferred to the prominent persons of J&K for their work done in different categories like Education, Literature, Social Work, Legal Services etc. Prominent among those honoured on the occasion was Retd. Director School Education and renowned Dogri Poet Dr. D.K Vaid for promotion of Dogri Language and Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma, President of District Bar Association Kathua for promotion of legal services.
Each year, individuals and organisations receive this very prestigious appreciation awards for exceptional service to humanity by the VSWDC. The function was organized by the President Village Social Welfare and Development Committee S.P. Sharma where Additional Deputy Commissioner Billawar Sandesh Kumar Sharma was remained the Chief Guest over the occasion.
Prominent among others who participated in the function includes BDC Chairpersons Ashok Sharma and Reeta Devi, Principal Higher Secondary School Yash Pal Gupta, Rajesh Kumar Advocate, Yog Raj Sharma, Shori Lal, Patwari Sushil Verma, JE PHE Division Pawan Kumar, President SGB Gopal Krishan and many others.
