3/1/2020 10:16:35 PM
Early Times Report

POONCH, Mar 1: The residents of Poonch District on Sunday expressed resentment against the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for failing to setup water filtration plant in the area.
They said PHE supply contaminated water in the Area and not filtration plant and often leads to waterborne diseases in the area. A local resident said that they are facing problems in absence of proper water filtration as department has failed to setup much awaited filtration plant. “We went many times to concerned authorities to resolve the issue but they turned deaf ears to our demands,” he said. Another resident said accused department for the failing to setup the filtration in the area, leaving the residents high and dry. “During both summers and winters months, residents get the muddy waters along with silt, which is harmful to the health and can lead to many vulnerable diseases,” he said. Local said government has neglected the area, as there is no grass root development in the area. Locals said the PHE officials assured that it would be installed but things remain unchanged on the ground, he said. The residents appealed Chief Engineer PHE to look into the issue, so that residents can get sigh of relief from the problem.
