MENDHAR, Mar 1: A capacity building tour organised by Romeo Force of Indian Army for Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities of Poonch district.
The tour was flagged off by Col Digvijay Singh, Officiating Commander 6 Sector Rashtriya Rifles under aegis of Headquarter Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo).
The eight day tour comprising of twenty civilians of Poonch District will visit different places at ChaudharySarvan Kumar Vishvavidyalaya (CSK Agriculture University), Palampur, Clothing Mills (R Tex),Ludhiana and GovindBallabh Pant University (GB Pant University),Pantnagar.
The aim of the tour is to give these selected farmers and agriculture students exposure into the field of modern farming techniques, latest applications in animal husbandry and an insight into conversion of raw material into finished product by organising a visit to the reputed clothing mills. |
